Lakeland Regional falls despite strong effort from Noah Pagan

The Lakeland Regional Lancers were the 57-50 winner over the Fair Lawn Cutters when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lakeland Regional was the victim of a rough 65-40 loss at the hands of Fair Lawn on Tuesday. Lakeland Regional was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeland Regional lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Pagan. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The matchup was Pagan's third in a row with at least ten points. Justin Meakem was another key contributor, scoring five points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeland Regional and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Fair Lawn, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Lakeland Regional will be playing at home against Wayne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lakeland Regional in New Jersey (Wayne Valley is ranked 157th, while Lakeland Regional is ranked 352nd). As for Fair Lawn, they will head out on the road to face off against Wayne Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne Hills will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
