Football Recap: Trace Moreau's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Louis Catholic over Haughton

St. Louis Catholic played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Haughton Buccaneers, falling 58-34. The Saints were down 44-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trace Moreau, who picked up 123 receiving yards and one touchdown. Moreau showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 62 yards.

St. Louis Catholic dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Haughton, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.

Looking ahead, St. Louis Catholic will head out to take on Northlake Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Saints' offense will have their work cut out for them. Haughton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
