Basketball Game Preview: Hopi Bruins vs. Tuba City Warriors

Hopi hasn't had much luck against Tuba City recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Hopi Bruins will host the Tuba City Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Hopi is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They were outmatched by St. Johns and fell 51-15. The game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuba City entered their tilt with Ganado on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 76-66.

Hopi better keep an eye on Eriana Begay. She was instrumental in Tuba City's win, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on her way to 30 points. Those 30 points gave Begay a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trece Tsingine, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points and four steals.

Tuba City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6. As for Hopi, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
