La Joya entered their tilt with Juan Diego Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against Juan Diego Academy by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Coyotes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: La Joya took both sets by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0.

The win got La Joya back to even at 10-10. As for Juan Diego Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, La Joya will head out on the road to square off against La Feria at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Juan Diego Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harvest Christian on the 19th.
