Recap: Apollo Eagles vs. Warren Central Dragons
The Apollo Eagles have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 50-44 win over Warren Central on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Apollo also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Jennifer Lee continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with nine rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Dant, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Apollo's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15. As for Warren Central, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Apollo will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McLean County at 5:00 p.m. As for Warren Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Christian County's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Warren Central has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
