Volleyball Recap: Brookstone's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Brookstone lost against St. Anne-Pacelli back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The match marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Carsyn Galligan paced Brookstone's offense, picking up seven kills. Galligan got some help from Jaclyn Chang and her 13 assists. Whitney Whitehead controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading St. Anne-Pacelli to victory were Anna Do and Allie Vickery. Do had 16 assists and three aces, while Vickery had four digs and four aces. Do is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Natalie Sillitto also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Brookstone fell to 4-1. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Brookstone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against South Effingham on the 9th. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Central on the 12th.
