Mason Mendoza Game Report: vs Escondido

Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Mason Mendoza: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss), helping propel Fallbrook past Escondido by a score of 27-24. We certainly expect to see more performances from Mendoza considering he's already seeing the field as a sophomore.

Looking ahead, Mendoza and Fallbrook will challenge Canyon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will enter the matchup having just beaten Southwest EC, so the Warriors will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
