Basketball Game Preview: Reardan Screaming Eagles vs. Davenport Gorillas

The Reardan Screaming Eagles will head out to challenge the Davenport Gorillas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Reardan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Reardan will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating St. George's, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Reardan claimed a resounding 92-50 win over St. George's. The Screaming Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Davenport ended up a good deal behind St. George's on Wednesday and lost 66-50.

Davenport has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Reardan, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

Everything came up roses for Reardan against Davenport in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 91-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reardan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
