League recap: Clark breaks off league-leading run for Arbor View

Ricky Clark of Arbor View ran for the longest rushing play in I Sunset - Northwest this season against Shadow Ridge last week. Clark scampered for 93 yards on the play and finished with 104 on the day as his team defeated the Mustangs.

Arbor View extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Shadow Ridge, 57-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Rasheem Parks put up the best numbers through the air as Arbor View topped Frank Tousa's team. He finished with a total of two completions for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Parks' favorite target this week was Jacob Speaks, who caught one pass for 64 yards.

Lee Griggs was the most productive running back in the league this week. In eight carries, he ran for 105 yards as Palo Verde defeated Sierra Vista. Beaulieu also contributed to the rushing game with 74 yards on the ground.

Beaulieu was the best wideout in I Sunset - Northwest this week as the Panthers bested the Mountain Lions. Beaulieu racked up two receptions for 68 yards. Zach Ortale helped Palo Verde's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.

Bakari Smith provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Mustangs fell to the Aggies. He completed 12 passes for 164 yards and also ran for 38 yards. Smith's favorite target this week was Ryan Johnson, who caught four passes for 39 yards.

Shadow Ridge's Smith and Marquise Evans have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Smith has thrown for 1359 yards this season, while Evans, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 28 catches for 699 yards. Griggs from Palo Verde leads the league in rushing with 743 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Durango and darwin rost's team. The Trailblazers enters the game ranked 19th in the state, while the Panthers ranks sixth.

Palo Verde led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Sierra Vista. Parker Rost threw for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
