Volleyball Recap: Fenton Comes Up Short

Fenton was the 2-0 winner over Walled Lake Northern when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Fenton's offense was headlined by Eva Long and Alejandra Ayotte, who picked up seven kills apiece. Long really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 19. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Walled Lake Northern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alivia George led the charge by getting 11 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Allie Epley, who had 11 digs.

Fenton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walled Lake Northern, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Fenton and Walled Lake Northern will both be playing Holt the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
