Volleyball Recap: Cinco Ranch's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Cinco Ranch's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Nederland Bulldogs. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Alessia Quinto paced Cinco Ranch's offense, picking up six kills. Quinto got some help from Reagan Tobeck and her 14 assists. Ashlyn Edwards controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cinco Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Nederland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Cinco Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cypress Falls on the 7th. As for Nederland, they are taking a road trip to challenge Beaumont United at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
