Basketball Game Preview: Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies vs. Kennedy Crusaders

The Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies will venture away from home to challenge the Kennedy Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Horizon Science Academy-Southwest was beaten by IC Catholic Prep 81-31. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly 50 points.

Meanwhile, Kennedy lost 76-53 to Dunbar on Tuesday. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Mightymen recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest will need focus on slowing down Joseph Dahl, one of several Kennedy players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Dahl a new career-high in assists (seven). Jovani Naverette was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Kennedy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunbar only posted seven assists.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest was taken down by Kennedy 85-34 in their previous meeting back in December of 2018. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Horizon Science Academy-Southwest was down 44-9.
