Volleyball Recap: Maranatha Baptist Takes a Loss

Maranatha Baptist had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Marquette Manor Baptist Academy Minutemen. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Minutemen: they've now lost three in a row.

Sophia Mukenschnabl was nothing short of spectacular for Marquette Manor Baptist Academy: she had nine aces and seven digs. Those nine aces gave Mukenschnabl a new career-high.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Marquette Manor Baptist Academy, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Maranatha Baptist will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Wisconsin School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Marquette Manor Baptist Academy, they have already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Faith Christian on the 12th.
