Cor Jesu Academy came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the MICDS Rams.
Lauren Ortwerth paced Cor Jesu Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Ortwerth got some help from Tori Gallen and her 11 assists.
Cor Jesu Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for MICDS, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
Coincidentally, Cor Jesu Academy and MICDS will both be playing Mascoutah the next time they take the court. The Rams will head out to face the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Chargers will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
