Santa Teresa lost against Mountain View back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Santa Teresa Desert Warriors lost 33-7 to the Mountain View Lobos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Desert Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 46th in New Mexico, while the Lobos are ranked 833rd in Texas).

Santa Teresa will head out to take on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against El Paso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran up and down the field in their prior games.
