After a string of five wins, St. Bernard's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to the McKinleyville Panthers 45-39. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Leading McKinleyville to victory were Cole Armstrong and Bode Douglass. Armstrong went 8 of 16 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds, while Douglass posted 14 points and seven boards. That's the most points Armstrong has posted since back in December of 2023. Gaelen Creighton was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

St. Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for McKinleyville, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

St. Bernard's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-47 win against Hoopa Valley on the 24th. McKinleyville has also already played their next game, a 49-48 victory against Eureka on the 24th.
