Basketball Recap: Edgewater Comes Up Short

After flying high against Osceola last Wednesday, Edgewater came back down to earth. The Edgewater Eagles fell just short of the DeLand Bulldogs by a score of 48-45 on Monday.

Edgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for DeLand, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Edgewater and Seminole will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeLand will take on Rockledge in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. DeLand is facing Rockledge at the right time seeing as Rockledge is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
