Mt. Carmel entered their tilt with St. Mary's Academy on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cougars.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mt. Carmel was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-11.

Kassie Diaz paced Mt. Carmel's offense, picking up nine kills. Diaz got some help from Sidney Leaumont and her 11 assists. Leaumont also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Annabelle LaBure, racking up five apiece.

Mt. Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for St. Mary's Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
