Penasco has gone 10-0 against Questa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Penasco Panthers will jump right back in to play the Questa Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Penasco duked it out withMcCurdy on Thursday. Penasco opened the new year with a less-than-successful 57-46 loss to McCurdy. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Questa was beaten by Mesa Vista 76-31 on Thursday. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Penasco will have to keep a close watch on Urijah Griego and Carlos Ortega, a pair of players who had a big impact on Questa's prior game. Griego posted 11 points, while Ortega scored four points and three steals. Ortega is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played.

Questa dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Penasco, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Penasco strolled past Questa in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 70-52. Will Penasco repeat their success, or does Questa have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
