Baseball Recap: Monarch Knights vs. McArthur Mustangs
Monarch barely beat McArthur the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Monarch Knights were the clear victor by a 14-8 margin over the McArthur Mustangs on Thursday. That six run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.
Juan Londono and Van Maxwell made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Londono struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Meanwhile, Maxwell tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, Londono gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Londono went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Maxwell scored two runs while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance gave Londono a new career-high in RBI.
