Baseball Recap: John Glenn Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

John Glenn came out on top against Newcomerstown on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Little Muskies put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-1 victory. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Little Muskies this season.

Trent Milliner looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reid Howard, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (four). Another player making a difference was Justin Stambush, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

The Little Muskies will square off against Indian Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (510 vs. 57). Meanwhile, Newcomerstown (ranked 241st) will meet Hiland (ranked eighth) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
