Preview: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Royal Palm Beach Wildcats
Seminole Ridge is 1-9 against Royal Palm Beach since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Seminole Ridge Hawks will be playing at home against the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Seminole Ridge has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
Last Friday, Seminole Ridge came up short against Glades Central and fell 52-39.
The losing side was boosted by Calvin Warren, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Elliot Petit-Frere, who scored six points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, even though Treasure Coast scored an imposing 61 points on Monday, Royal Palm Beach still came out on top. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Royal Palm Beach made off with a 62-61 win over Treasure Coast. The victory was just what Royal Palm Beach needed coming off of a 86-60 loss in their prior contest.
Seminole Ridge's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Royal Palm Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
