Soccer Recap: Martin Has No Trouble Against Bowie

Martin kept a clean sheet against Bowie on Friday. They blew past the Bowie Volunteers 8-0. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Volunteers are ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Martin's offense was hitting Bowie from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Lily Fratangelo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for Martin and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. As for Bowie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Haltom the next time they take the pitch. Martin will host Haltom at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Bowie will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
