Ridgefield extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 12-10 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hockinson Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 on Friday.

As for Hockinson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.

For Hockinson's part, the team relied heavily on Skyler Liddie, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most hits Liddie has posted since back in April.

Looking ahead, Ridgefield will venture away from home to challenge Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spudders are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Hockinson, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Washougal at 4:30 p.m. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
