They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tri-Township Tigers. Dillon Stewart was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 18 boards for Tri-Township. Stewart's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ethan Dailey was another key player, putting up 12 points.
Whiting's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Tri-Township, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Whiting will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tri-Township, they will venture away from home to face off against Washington Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
