Softball Game Preview: Johnson Warriors vs. Natomas Nighthawks

The Johnson Warriors will challenge the Natomas Nighthawks at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Natomas took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Johnson, who comes in off a win.

Johnson is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Bradshaw Christian 2-1.

Johnson's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Kirkland, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Natomas lost 17-7 to Leroy Greene Academy on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Nighthawks in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Johnson took their win against Natomas when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1. Will Johnson repeat their success, or does Natomas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
