Basketball Recap: Grapevine Takes a Loss

Grapevine lost against Birdville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grapevine Mustangs took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Birdville Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Hawks are ranked 26th).

This is the second loss in a row for Grapevine and nudges their season record down to 11-13. As for Birdville, the win (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Grapevine will head out to square off against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Birdville, they will welcome Colleyville Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
