Basketball Recap: Hardaway Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Hardaway had won three straight road games and Mikayla Johnson did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Hardaway Hawks strolled past the Sumter County Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 62-43 thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

Hardaway is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Sumter County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-6.

Hardaway has already played their next game (against Hoover), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Sumter County Panthers take on the Carver Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
