Baseball Game Preview: Palmetto Ridge Bears vs. Naples Golden Eagles

The Palmetto Ridge Bears will head out to square off against the Naples Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Palmetto Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat Gulf Coast and fell 3-2. The Bears have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Palmetto Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Jimenez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Naples suffered their closest loss since April 2, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Evangelical Christian by a score of 5-3. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Naples also got a good showing from AMANU GILLIAM, who didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched.

Naples now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Palmetto Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Palmetto Ridge suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Naples in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Palmetto Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
