Volleyball Recap: Bishop Hartley Comes Up Short

Bishop Hartley lost against Mt. Vernon back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Hartley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-13.

Mt. Vernon found their leader in sophomore Kirklin Kanuckel, who had eight digs and two assists.

Bishop Hartley's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Mt. Vernon, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Bishop Hartley will host Dublin Scioto at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Upper Arlington on the 3rd.
