            Basketball Recap: South Effingham Mustangs vs. Bradwell Institute Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            South Effingham played a tough  contest  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a  blow against the Bradwell Institute Tigers, falling  84-50. The Mustangs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why South Effingham lost, don't look at  Will Harlin. Despite the final result, he  posted 13  points. Another player making a difference was  Michael Hall, who  scored eight points.

 Even though they lost, South Effingham  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive boards in 13 consecutive  matchups.
  Christopher Perry was  his usual excellent self,  going 6 for 11  on his way to 13  points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals for Bradwell Institute. Perry has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  steals the last three times he's  played.  Dorian Cavewynter also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  assist of the season.
South Effingham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Bradwell Institute, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record  this season.
 South Effingham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  73-46  loss against Brunswick on the 1st. As for Bradwell Institute, they will take on Statesboro at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Bradwell Institute has won 21 straight at home dating back to last season, while Statesboro won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
