Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Takes a Loss

Saxony Lutheran lost against Central on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 51-33 to the Central Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Crusaders just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Saxony Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Central, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Saxony Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scott County Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Saxony Lutheran is facing Scott County Central at the right time seeing as Scott County Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Alton at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alton will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Central surely won't give up without a fight.
