Forest scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They managed a 82-76 victory over Seven Rivers Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Taleah Jones and Ja'Niyah McCoy were among the main playmakers for Forest as the former scored 21 points along with five steals and the latter scored 25 points along with three steals. McCoy has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Johns, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Wiregrass Ranch can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past East Lake 49-27.
Claire Kelley went supernova for Wiregrass Ranch, scoring 14 points along with five assists and five steals. Kelley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anabella Nieves, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Forest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Forest hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.7 points per game. It's a different story for Wiregrass Ranch, though, as they've been averaging only 38.9 points per game. The only thing between Forest and another offensive beatdown is the Bulls.
