Basketball Game Preview: Thunder Ridge Titans vs. Highland Rams

Thunder Ridge is 10-0 against Highland since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Thunder Ridge Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highland Rams at 7:30 p.m. Highland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Thunder Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Thunder Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 63-21 win over Canyon Ridge. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Thunder Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nevaeh Davenport led the charge by putting up eight points and four steals. Those four steals gave Davenport a new career-high. Avah Lugo was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 10 points.

Thunder Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Highland lost 60-40 to Madison on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Bobcats are ranked 16th).

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Thunder Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Thunder Ridge strolled past Highland in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 58-42. Does Thunder Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Highland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
