Baseball Recap: Liberty Common Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Liberty Common can now relate to. They came up short against the Elizabeth Cardinals on Saturday, falling 9-1. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Liberty Common saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Bookhout, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Liberty Common's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Elizabeth, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Liberty Common does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elizabeth, they have already played their next contest, an 11-6 loss against Montezuma-Cortez on the 17th.
