Southern Nash is a perfect 5-0 against C.B. Aycock since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Southern Nash Firebirds will look to defend their home field against the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Southern Nash will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
C.B. Aycock's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Southern Nash hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. Southern Nash never let Bunn get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Firebirds have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
ANNA DICKINSON was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, NOEL DOBBINS was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. MAKAYLA WEEKS was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, C.B. Aycock's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against South Johnston, falling 13-3.
Southern Nash's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.4 runs. As for C.B. Aycock, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-5.
