The Eaton Eagles will square off against the Madison Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eaton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Eaton didn't have quite enough to beat Tri-County North and fell 9-8.

Ella Statzer was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddyn Davis, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Madison fell victim to Bellbrook and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 7-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Mohawks were not able to get on the board.

Eaton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Everything went Eaton's way against Madison when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Eaton made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mohawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
