Homewood-Flossmoor's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Sandburg Eagles 8-7. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Skylar Skinner was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Ana Weber also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Homewood-Flossmoor's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Sandburg, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Coming up, Homewood-Flossmoor will challenge Andrew at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sandburg, they will square off against Lincoln-Way East at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
