Volleyball Recap: Madison Comprehensive Comes Up Short

Madison Comprehensive lost against South Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams fell 3-1 to the Trojans. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-20 in the first set.

Madison Comprehensive started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-23.

Paityn Butler paced Madison Comprehensive's offense, picking up 12 kills. Butler got some help from Maddie Berry and her 24 assists. Butler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Madison Comprehensive dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for South Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Madison Comprehensive wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mansfield Senior on the 7th. As for South Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Mapleton on the 7th.
