Senior quarterback leading Martinsburg to a big season.

Championship weekend has arrived in West Virginia high school football.

The action begins Friday as Bridgeport (12-1) and Bluefield (13-1) meet for the AA title.

Saturday features two contests with unbeatens Martinsburg (14-0) taking on Cabell Midland (14-0) for the AAA crown and Doddridge County (14-0) hooking up with Wheeling Central Catholic (9-4) for the A title.

Wheeling Island Stadium in Wheeling will serve as the host site for all three Super Six state championship contests.

Champions in 2018 include Martinsburg (Class AAA), Fairmont Senior (Class AA) and Wheeling Central (A). Martinsburg will be trying to claim its fourth straight state football title.
