Basketball Recap: North Side's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

North Side can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Polytechnic Parrots a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Steers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

North Side's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-13. As for Polytechnic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

It'll be Northside v. Southside when North Side and South Hills meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Side is facing South Hills at the right time seeing as South Hills is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Polytechnic, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Paschal at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Paschal's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
