Softball Recap: Warren Has No Trouble Against Norwalk

While Warren put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Norwalk. The Bears blew past the Lancers 13-0. Considering the Bears have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Julissa Gradilla, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Lexi Cortez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Warren was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norwalk only posted a batting average of .130.

Warren is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Norwalk, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12-1 record this season.

Warren will welcome Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norwalk, they will head out on the road to square off against Bellflower at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
