Softball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Casey County Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Admirals of the 13-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Abree Ganns was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Casey County, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Danville will take on Beechwood at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Casey County, they will head out on the road to take on Bath at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
