Iola fell victim to Santa Fe Trail and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Santa Fe Trail Chargers. Iola has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Santa Fe Trail's part, Sydnee Sleichter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Sleichter has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Sleichter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
