Basketball Recap: Indianola Academy Takes a Loss

Indianola Academy was the 41-34 winner over Central Holmes Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colonels were dealt a 63-36 loss at the hands of the Trojans on Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, Indianola Academy had strong showings from Ty Killabrew, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 11 points, and Tristen Bradshaw, who posted eight points and five rebounds. Killabrew also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

Indianola Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Indianola Academy will venture away from home to face off against Greater Praise Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Holmes Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Delta Streets Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
