Fayetteville Christian suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: Fayetteville Christian Warriors vs. Freedom Christian Academy

The Fayetteville Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 45-25 loss at the hands of Freedom Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Fayetteville Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Freedom Christian Academy is ranked 108th).

Despite the loss, Fayetteville Christian still got an impressive performance from Isabella Bailey, who scored 14 points. Bailey scored a full 56% of Fayetteville Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Allison Lett had an outrageously good game for Freedom Christian Academy as she dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 19 rebounds, and 21 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Lett has scored at least 25% of Freedom Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzie Dalton-Jimenez, who scored 12 points along with 9 steals.

The last time Fayetteville Christian won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Freedom Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Fayetteville Christian will head out on the road to face off against O'Neal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. O'Neal's defense has only allowed 24.3 points per game this season, so Fayetteville Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Fayetteville Christian. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome American Leadership Academy-Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. American Leadership Academy-Johnston's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Freedom Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for Freedom Christian Academy.
