Basketball Recap: Thornwell Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Thornwell lost to GREEN Upstate back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Thornwell Saints came out on top against the GREEN Upstate Owls by a score of 52-39.

Thornwell's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10. As for GREEN Upstate, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornwell will welcome Abbeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Abbeville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Thornwell likes a good challenge. GREEN Upstate has already played their next game (against Whitmire), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
