Softball Recap: Southside Seahawks vs. Greene Central Rams

After only one run in their last game, Southside made sure to put some runs up on the board against Greene Central on Wednesday. Southside blew past Greene Central 16-3. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Carolina Crisp was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lily McLean and Dana Ransom did most of the damage at the plate: McLean scored three runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-4, while Ransom scored three runs while going 2-for-4. McLean has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last eight times she's played. Emily Mondragon was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.
