Football Recap: Raytown Comes Up Short

Raytown played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Platte County Pirates. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Even if they lost, Raytown's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. Deabriion Porchia was especially locked on to Platte County's QB and sacked him twice. Porchia has become a key player for Raytown: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least one sack, but 2-3 otherwise.

Raytown's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Platte County, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.

As of now, neither Raytown nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
