Baseball Recap: Pillager Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Pillager nor New York Mills made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Huskies took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Pillager saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Hoglin, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Pillager's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for New York Mills, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Pillager will head out on the road to square off against Crosby-Ironton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New York Mills, they will welcome Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
